The History of Choraphor™

Choraphor was discovered by accident in the late 1980's. It has been marketed continually since that time. Choraphor was marketed by GHS in Australia for some years but now Choraphor is only sold by CPP Labs. GHS now sell a product called Dynamiclear; this product is not Choraphor.

In 1989, Charles Wright of California was working with a liquid and spilt a little on his hands, he then, inadvertently, wiped a hand across his mouth. Charles had a Cold Sore at the time; he felt a stinging sensation and wiped off the the liquid and went on with his work. Later that day, he noticed that the cold sore was drying up, forming a thin dry scab and he also noticed that the pain associated with the cold sore was almost gone. The next day, he noticed a greater improvement; the sore had almost completely gone and the pain was gone!

Charles then worked with a pharmaceutical company to reformulate the product to make it more effective and to ensure its safety as a topical skin application. As expected, it was found that the product was effective on outbreaks formed by all strains of the Herpes virus. Medical trials were on mice and human trials were completed.

Within two years of his discovery, 1991, Charles Wright formed CPP Labs, San Francisco, and started limited marketing of the product. Customers were pleased and wrote back praising the product.

CPP Labs started advertising in San Francisco and California in magazines and newspapers and sales started to expand.

A short time later CPP Labs expanded to the UK. Newspapers and magazines again were used to expand awareness of the product.

“Choraphor” was coined as the name for the Product in 1997 and this name was later registered as the trademark in the USA.

In the late 1990's CPP Labs started marketing Choraphor on the internet using websites operated by vendors of health products. Business continued to expand.

In 1999, Martin Spurge of Australia heard about the product and introductions were made between Dr. John Spurge of Global Herbal Supplies ( GHS) and Charles Wright of CPP Labs. An agreement was made that GHS would start marketing Choraphor on their website, GlobalHerbalSupplies.Com

In addition, Dr, John Spurge sent samples to many of his naturopath colleagues to trial the product.

Sales of Choraphor continued to expand worldwide.

In 2000, Choraphor was tested by Science, Toxicology and Technology Consultants in San Francisco further enhancing the reputation of the product.

GHS and CPP Labs agreed to use Choraphor.Com and similar websites to directly market Choraphor to the world. As the word got out and other companies began selling the product on their websites, sales expanded to thousands a month. Choraphor was being talked about on Internet sites everywhere.

Choraphor was also sold from websites owned by CPP Labs including ChoraphorLabs.Com, Choraphor.Ca and also Affliates of CPP Labs.

The relationship between GHS and CPP Labs continued until early 2007. Then Charles Wright and John Spurge agreed that Choraphor would return to CPP Labs and would no longer be sold by GHS and affiliates. Effective July, 2007 GHS does not sell Choraphor.

GHS have a new product called Dynamiclear and is marketed under that name.

Choraphor continues to be marketed as Choraphor under the original company formed many years ago after discovery of the product. CPP Labs is pleased to be able to sell this proven product to the World.

Dynamiclear is a different product to Choraphor.
